• The Anthony Bobrow Trust

Tony Bobrow was a pioneer of the Dallas GLBTQ community for almost four decades. He never lost sight of the fact that the GLBTQ was responsible for the success of the Hidden Door, now the longest-serving bar for the GLBTQ in the Oak Lawn neighborhood. His guidance included a proud record of generosity and involvement.

Tony made plans to continue that legacy with a contribution that may never be surpassed in its generosity:

The first major contributions were in April, 2018, presenting the Dallas Resource Center, Legacy Counseling Center, and AIDS Interfaith Network each a check for $83,333, totaling $250,000 !

In December, 2018, $100,000 was donated to Dallas Hope Center as their anchor funding to create shelter and services for homeless young adults.

Including smaller contributions, The Anthony Bobrow Trust has enriched the services provided to the GLBTQ in Dallas by almost $400,000 in our first eight months! We look forward to continuing that in future years!

We're assured these contributions will allow each of these to greatly-expand their work benefiting all of us.

Each year, most of the net-earnings of The Hidden Door will be returned to the GLBTQ community.

The Hidden Door staff looks forward to continuing the work by continuing to contribute. That's what Tony told us to do!
